Biography
Don Shirley has been involved in diving for 33 years, most of it conducting Technical training. He is an Instructor Trainer Trainer for IANTD and DAN, a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and Dsat RecTec Instructor.

He started his diving in the United Kingdom, and from there has organised and led many diving expeditions to all types of areas - from Oasis to Ice, Tropical to Sub Antarctic. His most famous expedition being the Boesmansgat trip in January 2005.

Don loves exploring and is passionate about Cave diving. He has trained many divers in this type of environment, and is more comfortable in the caves than on the surface.

For the last 10 years Don has been teaching technical diving on a full time basis in Southern Africa. His main area of expertise is technical diving, with the emphasis on rebreathers. He is an Instructor trainer on the Buddy Inspiration and Evolution, the Dragers, KISS and the Submatix. He also dives the Cis-Lunar, Halcyon and the Mk15.5.
