Tech-Diving 2012. Back to first page

Tech Diving 2012 conference Jan 28-29 in Stockholm also has a lot to offer for the diver interested in Maritime archaeology.

During the seminar there will be a lot of discussion about technical diving and rebreathers suitable for Maritime archaeology where prolonged time and/or increased depth is desired. As documentation is important to the maritime archaeologist underwater photography section should also be of interest.

Jim Kennard will be at Tech Diving 2012 telling us about the discovery of HMS Ontario, a fully intact 231 year old British Warship sunk 1780 in Lake Ontario. It has been the ìHoly Grailî of shipwreck discoveries in the Great Lakes and the US.

Richard Lundgren tells us about the discovery of the mighty admiralship Mars, sunk during the Nordic seven year war in 1564.

Jill Heinerth underwater explorer and film maker will tell us about photo and video techniques for extreme diving. She will share experiences from cave and deep ocean expeditions from Bahamas, Bermuda and Egypt. Jill is currently editing an investigative documentary that explores the mysterious disappearance of diver Ben McDaniel (www.bensvortex.com). Next Jill will lead a National Geographic expedition to Egypt conducting some first explorations of remote cave springs.
